    RO/DI water from the store?

Just got the 29 gallon out of the garage a few days ago and got everything cleaned up.....last time i ran into a bunch of problems with PO4 levels in my well water, leading to a whole mess of troubles with diatom blooms and uncontrolable algea growth. I dont want to invest in an RO/DI unit, and...

overwhelming phosphate levels from my tap water!!

Do you use RO or RO/DI water? Ive been having the same broblem and tested my water source and it showed that i had 2.0-3.0 ppm for phosphates which is still high, when it should be 0. Check some of my other threads, they are practically the same as yours. You should find good info there.

    Tank teardown...and redo

I finally got around to testing the PO4 levels in my hard and soft water (both come from a well) and they both tested to be 1.0-2.0 ppm, which i know is bad news for me. I think i will try to get a RO/DI unit, but have no idea where to begin. I only have a 30 gallon tank, and was wondering if...

    Tank teardown...and redo

Well, my parents had a foods meeting for 4-H at our house and a little girl decided to throw books, fish food, and a large assortment of other things into my aquarium, and as a result ive torn the whole thing down and I am now starting over from scratch. I have the 30 gallon tank, a penguin 350...
