45 gal planted tank. Six Angels have been in the tank since they were juvies -- now full grown. Have had Neon Tetras in the tank up until last winter -- they all died of old age. Just added 14 new ones last Saturday and noticed Sunday that only three were around. Just added 25 more tonight...

Can someone tell me what type snail this is?

While photographing the oxygen bubble before it lifted off the 1" wide Hydrocotyle leucocephala (Brazilian Pennywort) leaf, this snail climbed atop the leaf and crawled directly into the bubble. :D

I used to keep Discus and had a diatom filter with UV sterilize in-line that was set to run for 2 hours a night. Now I have a planted tank and wonder if there is a reason not to hook the diatom and uv up....can anyone advise?

I had 5 Neon Tetras left from an older tank, so I put them in a nearly empty 45-gallon. They started fighting over territory. Today I added 6 more Neons. They schooled for a couple of hours, but now their all fighting. I've not had this issue with Neon Tetras before. What is their issue?
