Help needed! My egg clutch fell in the tank over night. I took it out and "helped" it hatch by breaking it apart as I saw in a video. So now I have about 10 baby snails in a jar. How do I transfer them to my tank without hurting them? Is a 10 gallon planted tank too big for them? They are even...

I'm gonna have baby snails! First, I'm gonna have to research how to hatch the clutches and care for the babies. Anyone have any info or sites you'd recommend for a newish snail mom?

I want to get some floating plants for this tank. I am thinking about Duckweed just because it's the only one I really know of. Does anyone have any other recommendations that are betta and Snail safe?

Yeah, it was more expensive than I would have liked. The perks of being single with a good job and no kids. I get to spoil my fish Hahahaha

Thanks so much! Betas get the short end of the stick a lot. I love them and love to give them as much room as I can. They all seem to thrive with it. :)

It's fake (resin) that I got from Petco. I wanted to go real, but couldn't find any I liked. I may upgrade if I come across some though.

So far he seems to deem them not worthy of his attention, but I'll keep an eye out! :)

Thanks! That's good to know. I thought the cucumber would be better for them than algae wafers. Lol. Darn. They seem to enjoy both the wafers and the cucumber equally, as far as I can tell, so that's good. :) They jump on the food as soon as it's offered, so I couldn't tell if I wasn't feeding...

Thanks! His old tank was so haphazardly thrown together. I basically bought stuff over the course of a year and put it in wherever it fit. There was no plan and it showed. I think Kurt, Apollo (Gold Mystery Snail) and I all like the new one better lol

I have a fairly new tank that hasn't developed algae yet which currently houses baby snails. I've been feeding them algae wafers and blanched cucumber, but am not sure if there is such a thing as overfeeding...I know my betta would eat himself to death if I let him. Will my snails do the same...

Only one. The others are just choking down on an algae wafer. Lol

So happy that my babies arrive. 10 were shipped to me (9 babies and 1 adult) but there are still 2 babies who I'm not sure made it. All the others seem healthy. I have all the babies together currently, but plan to split them up between 6 tanks eventually.

Nux the halfmoon betta and his new home. There will be some mini swordfish (grass like plant) and a moss ball soon, but this is it for now. He's still really stressed out and skittish, so the pic of him isn't great. Sorry.

He moves the fins a little, but doesn't stretch them out normally. His fins were clamped at the store (one of the reasons I got him as I wanted to make sure he was taken care of and not stuck in a bowl and overlooked). He's currently in a 1 gallon tank while the 5 gallon that will be his home...

Just ordered some magenta mystery Snails to split between 4 tanks. I'm ridiculously excited! And so thankful to one of the users here for pointing me in their direction (not naming the user without their permission, but you know who you are). I cannot wait for these guys to arrive!

Thanks! I left the first piece in overnight and then took it out just in case, but put a fresh piece in today. Good to know I won't hurt the levels leaving it in more than a few hours. :)

I gave my Mystery Snail, Mal, a slice of cucumber. He ate some, but not much. How long should I leave it in before removing it? I don't want to mess with my water levels, but don't want to take away his treat before I need to either.
