I try to rinse as little as I can so that I keep as much of thew small particles that are required in the sand ! To avoid a white storm I freeze the sand and put in the frozen chunks one by one to avoid temp. drop ! It worked for me and did not stress the habitants

Sam, Thanks for your answer ! Indeed I have the unit from AquaSafe so I do have a reervoir ... however it is at the end of the cycle so it collect RO/DI water ! What you are saying is to move it back inthe chain so it collects only RO ??? And the faucet that comes with the kit where do you hook...

Sam, You say that you use RO water for drinking and not full DI ! Could you pleas tell me where and how oyu hooked up the faucet so that you can draw water after the Ro and also after the DI for tank water Thanks

Try putting a tewmporary brace further down so you have support and enough room to insert the sump as well !
