    Earning the name lucky hopefully

So i screwed up. I was going to ask about this a couple days ago , but i figured i would wait and see what happend. My buddy had a crab in his tank. It survived in his tank for weeks with out a problem. But suddenly it took out two if his fish. One was a blue gourami and the other was a...

    Tank Disaster

All the fish are still there. I know the changing water wont kill the bacteria, but i dont want to push too much stress on the tank. The water changes were to clean up and try to rid of the smell and cloudy water. I have not been changing water according to readings, although i have been...

    Tank Disaster

I have a 20g and a 55g freshwater tanks. My boy dumped a whole can of flake food in the 20 and almost a whole can of shrimp pellets in the 55 while i was at work. This was two days ago.. Both tanks were cycled. The 55 has gravel for the substrate so it was fairly simple to clean. i did a...

Will These Fish Get ALong Together

6 roseline sharks might be a bit much for your tank in the end.. and i would go with atleast two angels

Will These Fish Get ALong Together

From the way i understand the cycle product, it just aids in breaking down the ammonia and nitrites, but it does not actually establish a bacteria colony. It is a bacteria , however, not the same type your fish tank naturally uses. I would not waste your money on that stuff , personally...

Will These Fish Get ALong Together

Angels and gouamis can get along, but i think it all depends on the age in which they are introduced to the tank and each other. I have always had two grouamis and two angels in every tank i have had. This time , i am down to one gourami because i cant seem to keep the chemistry right with them...

    Safely Changing pH

I am not having a problem controlling the pH. I want to change it , but just want to know at what rate is safe. The 20g is 7.5 because i set it that way. The 55g is 6.4 because that is what my tap water is at and i dont want set it all the time. The 55g, i feel, will be more stable if i leave...

    Safely Changing pH

The pH in the 55 is 6.4 because i use tap water in it , i know thats what it is. I set the 20g to 7.5 and added salt for a completely different set up that didnt work out. It ended up as a mollie breeder just because thats what i thought would work the best for them tank permaeters. I...

    Safely Changing pH

I have a 20g set up as a mollie breeder righ now. I want to use i as a community tank and put the mollies in the 55g community. The pH on the 20g is 7.5 and i use salt. The 55g pH is 6.4, no salt and i do nothing to edit the pH. just where it lands I would like to get the 20g to match...

    Molly Tank

Not really.. 4 mollies in a 5 gal tank is overstocked. 4 mollies in the ten gallon might work, but im pretty sure they prefer something 20g or larger. I would not recommend more than two mollies to your 5g and at that, you would definately want to cycle it fishless. 5g tanks are really...

    Bullseye!!!!!!

eh.. police love to get a reson to discharge their weapon around my area. I seen a cop dispatch a deer with a PA game commissioner right beside him... The official could have asked the cop to deal with the fish. Wild life officals do not carry weapons. Only tools.

Yo Yo Loaches - Now Agressive

I would not abandon them quite yet. yo yo loaches are aggressive feeders. I would definately try sinking pellets. The cut back in feeding is more than likely the cause of their aggression. i have has lots of luck with the wardley shrimp pellets. My clown loach would live on them and wait...

    python question

Have a couple question about the python. Used the python for the first time today. I usually use a regular siphon and a gravel vac. The pyhon did not seem to have the suction power or the speed of the siphon method. The Python tubing looks bigger than the siphon tubes i use now. It is an...
