Thanks! I tested my water and everything seems normal...no large fluctuations in ammonia or nitrite and nitrate levels...maybe it is just normal...regardless I'll be keeping my eye on him! Thanks again. :)

Hi guys, happy to report that my bluegill is still living healthily off of shrimp pellets...he loves them now! But one question arose, why are his gills red...it's very noticeable now and I don't know if its a disease or if he is too young that his scales are transparent...any advice? :)

Thanks for the bait suggestions guys! It worked and I caught a bluegill! It's roughly 2 inches long and 1 inch in height...now he's fairly big so what could/should I feed him? Thanks again!

Hi all, I have a few small minnow traps that I'd like to put to use....I would like to catch either a bass, bluegill/sunfish, or a catfish....keep in mind I'm going for the babies not the adults ;) If anyone knows good bait to use in the trap for any of these species, that'd be great!

I went to check on my bass tank this morning and there's a ton of white dots on the acrylic sides of my tank! It looks like what happens when water dries and then streaks down on the outside of glass, but these are smaller and inside! They do streak down about an ich or so

Actually I didn't, I caught the bass on mothers day at my grandmothers house....her community has a few ponds and there were a bunch of bass fry right in my sight while I was fishing, and I got this little fellow by chance!:)

I caught him using a minnow trap with hot dog, he got stuck in there because he was curious haha. I already tried hot dog, and I have the filter/aerator off when food is available...I'm just super low on options so I hope he eats something soon...he's interested in flying bugs from what I've...

He ate 1 mosquito in two weeks and I put one in last night but he never found it :/

I've tried almost every insect I can get my hands on...I do have earthworms for feeding him..how small should I cut the pieces?

He is a wild caught and I have moved him to his own tank to monitor his eating habits...it has an aerator so he can totally see the bugs, he just won't eat them

He hasn't eaten a thing in two weeks....he always looks and looks, then does his own thing....and he's only eaten one mosquito last week....this is the farthest extent I've ever gone to to feed an animal! Man I wish he would eat!

As of right now, no. He seems very hungry, but only for specific foods haha!

Haha no kidding! And he's eaten a mosquito but that's it! I can't seem to get many more Mosquitos but anything else is like not even considered...weird huh?

Yes I went for the carps and I caught two! I let them go because my tank is already crowded as is ;) also, they are largemouth bass so I'll try brine shrimp!
