It appears you guys got hacked! I also cant trun off photo upload notifications by clicking in the link in the email. Is there a way to turn off this option on the website? if so where? Thanks

Good For a low- med light not heavily planted tank IMO. Or you could spend 35 dollars more and get twice that, but then might have to add CO2 which cost another 30 (hagen Natural system) or save the second 30 by doing a DIY CO2 system...

Thanks for the reply. I was going to go with an eheim 2217. it has about 210 gph, which isn't even 2xper hour! So i guess i could add an emporer 400, or keep my tank lightly stocked, or buy an even bigger canister than the 2217. If im spending all this money, i want to do it right, not just...

I read somewhere and cant remember what a recommended turnover rate would be for a planted tank. Is it like 3x's the volume of the tank? (ex. 10gal would equal to 30gph turnover) Im going to use a canister filter and am thinking i may need to add an emporer 400 too(but i really dont want to).

Java Fern grows in very little light. You can still do a low light tank of some real plants! You just won't have quite the variation. Also, you could use a cool looking high quality red fake plant in the back with the height you want and then put a couple of java fern in front of it- should...

Thanks for pointing out the eggcrate pic link oversight earlier in the thread, and, the tank w/eggcrate pics. Good question hypo, guess there is always a compromise in these things. :-) Also, somebody asked about a reflector earlier in the thread. Maybe a metal fab shop could help you out...
