I've seen a lot of clowns but none as you described.Is a picture of them possible?

Just a thought,Is it possible that something in the tank could be leaking voltage into the water column?I had a bad heater once that was leaking about 30 volts AC.The only reason I checked was that I had strange deaths same as you.I heard that salt tanks can be notorious for this hence the need...

Ya know,I wondered about that too.I have not lost any to netting directly but Ido notice that netting to move to a hospital tank is extremely stressful to the fish.Is it better as you say to medicate the whole tank?Very interesting.Replys? :roll:

Don't give up just yet.I had the same problems as you and I finally have a beautiful planted tank.I did however tear it all down when it was really bad and start over.The only things I kept were the fish and the fully cycled filter.Also about a third of the original sand substrate and 5 gallons...

I use NOX ICH.Impressive results.No harm to plants or bio filter.Use half strength with scaleless fish,ie:freshwater clowns,plecos,etc. 8)

I can't remember where I read it but chloramines are much more difficult to remove.Best to use a dechlor. to be sure. :roll:

Got one.It works but it clogs up really fast.As you said it is only good for occasional water polishing.Don't use it on an uncycled tank.Wait untill the water is ok first(no bacterial bloom).It will clean up green or yellow water as well but only temporarily. :wink:

What you have now is fine with plants.I would not rec. a lot of cyclids as they have a tendency to uproot plants.That being said I have a butterfly ram in my planted tank and he could care less about the plants.Do yourself a favor and get 3 ameca splendens.They are hard to find but they will eat...
