Update. I have been urged to keep the salt water fish. Should i consider going through with it? How would I take down, transport, and set up? Should save as much water as possible? To make it easier on the stock? I need everyones opinion.

With correct lighting I would recommend Dwarf Baby Tears or Dwarf Grass

It would be for my 20 long, I have no idea what would be an appropriate flow rate for my aquarium. As it is right now I wouldnt say it's heavily planted, but I have some Java Moss, Xmas Moss, Dwarf Grass, 8 stems of Anacharis, and 4 stems of Water Wisteria.

Lets say i run it for 8 hours a day, how long will it last me?

I had one a year ago, mine was surprisingly beautiful. The one I had liked to hang on one of my plants right underneath the outlet of my filter. So yes they like water flow, and when they get some flow they release there little fans and fan food into their mouths.

I went to my LFS and they had them for 12.99 and on ebay i bought one for 2.50. Lesson learned once again, cheap isnt always better.

What about the chlorimine? That continues to be present in the water, unless conditioner is used.
