    FS 26g Bowfront/Stand and light

We aren't planning on setting up our system again anytime soon so we're trying to make some room. Selling a 26g bowfront with stand, black with black trim. I have not cleaned out the tank yet (still has coraline) since breaking it down and rinsing it out. There are some scratches in the glass...

    Interesting antics

The hermit has a new shell and there are several dozen empties scattered around. He climbs on there backs and hangs til they flip over and then runs away.

    Interesting antics

The past couple of days I've noticed some very peculiar antics happening in the tank. My wife and I have a usual routine of sitting on the bed every night after the kids are asleep to feed and watch the tank and talk for an hour or so. We have 2 Osc. Clowns and a CBS in the tank. The clowns...

    My liverock turning brown? help........

All the turbo snails I have had in the past loved diatoms. Might try a couple...they're great for other algae growth too. Be sure you have your rock stacked very stable. Mine have been known to shift the rocks in trying to get to a particularly tasty patch of algae. My diatom blooms have always...

    New setup

My hands were pruned up by the time I got the rock the way I wanted...lol. I made the mistake on my last tank with the rock and had the "mountain" and always had flow dead spots. I am very happy with the way it turned out. The fish are always going to have plenty of hiding spots. PS. Thanks...

    New setup

You're right on the PWC. It's such a normal thing that I didn't think to mention it :D I'm still not sure on what the first inhabitant will be. My kids are begging for an Ocellaris Clownfish obviously. I'm partial to small gobies like the Wheeler's. The wife is wanting a Six Line Wrasse...

    New setup

Just a quick update. Amm: 0ppm Nitrites/ates: 0ppm I guess with all the LR I just had a mini-cycle. The raw shrimp I added are completely gone. Gonna give it another week minimum before I start considering livestock. Added some snails/hermits on Wed just to touch up the tank as the LR...

    New setup

Yeah, I not too concerned about the pH for now. I've already thrown in a raw shrimp to kick start the cycle. I figure another 2-3 weeks and it will be all done.

    New setup

Ok...like my sig says, I'm back into the hobby after an extended furlough. I just setup my tank last week. Dropped the shrimp in to start the cycle on the 11th. Here are the test results as of Friday. SG: 1.024 pH: 7.8 (going to wait to see if it comes up on it own) Amm: 0.25ppm Nitrites &...

    ID Please?

Ok....I'm pretty sure it's a Stomatella after looking at more pics of them. Good call Ziggy! :)

    ID Please?

Got a much clearer pic of one of the little critters.

    ID Please?

Update. I touched one and it has a hard smooth, rounded shell but seems to be covered by it's mantle. The rock/algae was exactly that. It fell off once I touched it. Baby Cowrie's maybe?

    ID Please?

Just setup the tank a few days ago. Have a few hitchhikers popping up. This one's ID eludes me. At first I thought flatworm when I saw one on the glass. But seeing them on the rock they have more of a grub shape. They are 1/4" long, white-gray with a gray stripe along the side. No protuberaces...

    FS - 55gal setup

Finally got around to finding homes for my livestock so everything else is ready to go. Here is what I have left: 55gal tank with wood stand. About 45-50lbs of LR. About 40lbs of live sand. Current USA Dual Satellite 4x65w PC fixture. (One ballast is going out I think, flickering even with...
