Righto then. What is the difference between the live rock and volcanic? As they look similar (apart from the bacteria on the live rock)?

    New to saltwater

A ok. Well the lfs guy told me about a product that help produce bacteria, does do the same job as a live rock or shrimp? Also, you mention I used get a 20 gal tank, but I've read that if I was only going to have just the fish I could use a 10 gal. The fish that I'm getting have been paired for...

    New to saltwater

Yeah I have read up on cycling at tank but there are a few different methods out there. Some say leave it with the live rocks and others say drop a dead shrimp in there. I'm little confused as it is salt water. I'm quite use to freshwater set ups

The local shop here (non chain), has given me a general I dea, but I would like a better idea. So first off, just for these two fish, what size tank...

We are going for a different look!

Wow! This tank is awesome and has given me an idea for a larger project that I'll take on next year. Keep up the good work. Any plans on getting an anemone for the clowns?

    Doug's 250, now 300, in wall build

Good luck on the build. I hope you don't mind me PMing you with a few questions from time to time, as I'm about to start my first saltwater aquarium in the coming weeks. But you have given me a few ideas how I will be designing my fish room one day.

warning- rant- read at your own risk

I agree with all this. But it's funny how people reason with how they spend their money. Just today I was taking to some boatie, and notice that his liftjacket wasn't much of one. I told he should get a new one, but he replied saying it was too expensive. At that moment I notic he had a fish...

    Escapee

I hope the poor guy is alright. This happen to my first betta, however he jump from his tank into a glass of water that had on my desk. I later read that they only did that when they are sick of their current environment or the water was to dirty. So I ended up getting him a bigger tank.

Ha! Great thread. Mmmm, although I have own one, have worked with it though, I'd have to say that I am some what of a Grey Nurse shark. Mainly because they are such a misunderstood animal, and because of that fact they are now critical endangoured. Also, I believe I just sleep walk during...
