We are going for a different look!

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Arnold is an excellent name for roid raging crab!! Lol

And yes he is definately the dominant one, gets round all over the tank so quickly and I hardly see the other ones now (they must either be dead or hiding from beefcake!)

So you suggest that they don't play well with each other? I have noted I see only one of my crabs at a time, maybe it's the same one! Had three to try to clean up an old outbreak of green bubble algae (volaria?). The crabs never touched the stuff.

If I can hijack this thread a bit.....my emeralds are getting a white buildup on the shells. Would it be Coraline? I have lots of Coraline building on the tank walls. When I got them they were a gorgeous green, now the big one is covered in the white.

Highjacking welcome lol! I think if it is going a little White(ish) then it maybe due to moult soon so you could be getting an Arnold beefcake of your own soon!

And emeralds are hit and miss with bubble algae, ours don't touch it either!

Out of the three I bought, the two small ones didn't touch the bubble algae. The big one though feasted. LOL It was fun to watch. He would grab hold and pull for dear life. When it would pop off he would almost topple over backwards. LOL

Can I rent him?

Lmao. Nice. Would be funny to watch someone get on a plane with a small tank and nothing but a crab. Great conversation starter I guess

Not sure people would want to sit next to you if the knew you had "Crabs". Oh, I am going to get in trouble for that one.

I finally managed to get a decent picture of our little Koran!

Been chuckling all day about your crab conversation! You guys are crazy!

He is very nice. Glad I could bring a smile too someones face today. My wife and kids are amune. LOL Hooked up with highschool friends on FB that I hadn't seen in 30 years. For the first six months they all told me how funny I was, now, they all just roll thier eyes and look the other way. LOL

You better have a sense of humor in this hobby. It's like spinning plates in the circus, something is always about to happen.
Nice angel fish! Hope he does well for you.

This is funny!

My Koran is running the risk of getting nipped by the beefcake emerald crab as he thinks he will clean it. The emerald keeps shrugging the Koran off but I'm sure he will loose his temper soon!

You could have that crab for dinner.LOL.
I hope you don't end up losing your Koran.

Wow! This tank is awesome and has given me an idea for a larger project that I'll take on next year. Keep up the good work.

Any plans on getting an anemone for the clowns?

29 Gallon Biocube with a pair of clowns, flame angel, a bunch of inverts and a few other fish. I'm still planning it out so I can hopefully start this project around January.

Haha you and I are doings the same thing, at the same time. Good luck! :)

Not sure if you can see it in this picture but I finally changed one of my lighting tubes for a marine blue one, it's really brought out the gorgeous colours on the fish and shrimp

This is the only way that our cats actually notice the fish in the tank but still have no idea what to make of them!
