I just added a LED airstone to the back wall of my cichlid tank yesterday. This am 3/4s of my blood parrot is now back to his normal color. Go figure.

No agression issues in this tank. He has hiding spots, but I never seen him in them but once.

Yes, in their current tank I have. A power filter. I plan on getting a 10 gallon for when there ready to breed. Put some floating plants in there, and drop the water level to 6-8" and crank up the temp to get them "in the mood". But the girls have to grow a bit more.

Ok, so I did a 50% pwc did add seachem prime (even though the water was r/o bottled spring water). Tested water today. 0 ammonia, 0 no2 and 40 no3. Water is no longer cloudy (didnt add bacteria) and left in old filter. How can i get the no3 down? More pwcs? Add prime? Thanks in advance.

I got bad advice at the LFS and am now in the process of doing a fish in cycling. However my water is very cloudy. Other than vigilant pwcs will anything clear this water? I've tried adding a water clarifier. Thanks in advanve!

Thanks for all the help. I got spring water today to do a 50% wc tomorrow. I'm going to get the API master testkit this week. I used a test strip today and ammonia was 0, nitrites were 0 and Nitrates were 40. Have been busy reading up on cycling today :p
