So now I no longer have my convicts, Im moving back to a community tank!
Currently I have only 3 zebra danios, rescued from a freind. It has lots synthetic plants( both fabric and plastic), rocks, this plastic log formation, large piece of iron wood, and fine white sand. The tank is fully...
Okay wait, Just went to look at my tank to go remove the snail and he is walking around the ground normally! Thought when they die they float to the top, and he was but now he is like a normal snail :l
We got the snail from a friend, did not know they die so easily, never had one before. And in regards to the they a zebra's, and non of the dead ones had any bites, or nipped fins. And yes I do have a carbon filter.
So my sail, that I have had for about a week died same with 3 out of 6 danios. My mom brought the danios back so we have 6 now, but I dont know. One danio died this morning along with the snail, and 2 died 3 days back, had no idea what happened, but when the danio and snail died, I got vary...
Wait, What?
I've asked on here before if the zebra danios would do good and they said yes :( My mom bought these for me ( and fish are not cheap here) Is there anyway I can keep them in it? Or do I really have to upgrade to a 20 gallon?
So I have a ten gallon, I have 6 Zebra danios ( 2 long fins) I was thinking about adding 5 kuhli's and 2 otos. Would that work, Or would I be over stocking?
So I think I am going to go with a community tank. Going to take the base Idea from Option 3 up there and looked at local stock... :
- 1 male dwarf gourami
- 1 common Pleco ( from one of my other tanks about 4inch.)
- 5 black/white skirt tetra ( depending what they have)
- 5 khuli loachs...
So, we have a 30 gallon tank sitting in our garage, And I was thinking about using it for fish again. But I need some ideas on what to do with it. I was thinking anything from gold fish, to a bunch of different fish, but I don't know, I need your help!
All it has is a basic hood and light...
Since I have a 10 gallon tank, and I don't overly have any plans for it, I was wondering if it would make a good breeding tank for shrimp. They will be fed to my African cichlids. But since I have never owned shrimp I really need help on this. I need allot of information about them :)
I am currently not at my house, so I will post the levels later..
and regarding buying stuff online, I don't overly trust the idea, since we don't normally get stuff shipped into our town. And as well I am not aloud to have a paypal or send money until I am 18.
and regards to how the fish died...
So, My 10 gallon I have just left off lately. I am a idiot and keep buying fish from the LPS, witch the fish look fine, but end up not being too healthy, and even when getting a replacement they die.And I know what you are all thinking... My tank's levels are fine, the tank just has an algae...
If your going to add anything, make sure you have these:
a hide for the betta ( or a place it could hide), for when It wants to get away
proper heater and filter that work with the betta and other fish
I also suggest no fish that are really bright in colours ( because the betta my mistake it...
They are amazing. From my knowledge, you can put it in, and not really have to care for it. It sometimes moves around, but I do not suggest putting it in with fish that eat plants, or crayfish, due to them destroying.
So, left for last week to come back to my single kuhli missing! So when I cleaned the tank I looking for him... nothing. He does not normally dig, but I did stir up the gravel. Still nothing. The only place It could go is inside my moss ball, since my convicts ate a hole in it. but is really...
So I wont do this for a while but i must post my brag! I am in a city, so i have my choise of stores. But I am going to changed my current, vary tropical looking American Cichlid tank to a more Cichlid looking tank!
Taking everything out and adding:
White or grey sand - first time with sand...
I also suggest you have another tank ready for if the fry start attacking the parents from lack of space... if you have a healthy batch, their could be more then 100 or so.
have 10 or so now, but I got rid of 3/4 a while back then another half a week ago. ..
