New addition to the tank today

I've read and heard people say that overstocking is a way to combat aggression. What I'm wondering is, has anyone here used that practice and done it succesfully? Secondly, what is a good overstock number for a 56 gallon?

I have labs with some tiger barbs. They pretty much stay to themselves. Every once in a while my one yellow lab will give a little chase when a barb gets too close but I've had no deaths. It's a gamble but sometimes it works

Sure are. They've been together for just over 6 mos now. The tank fits perfectly in a space in the living room where nothing else really fits
