I really haven't done enough research on LED.That is why I am asking the experts.

Before I make the investment, Is LED Lighting sufficent for planted tanks? I have a 55 gal. planted tank with a 48 in. flora max bulb. It is good colour but DIM!!! Wife likes it but looks real dim to me. Will LED help or any other sugestions??? Thanks to all!!

Go with Flora Max substrate or something similar for plants. It is doing real good for my newly planted tank. Good luck!

sounds like you have a defective unit! I would contact customer support.

It all depends on the pressure of your pump. I would not have holes bigger than 1/8 inch. the more holes you put in the less pressure. same with length. make it as long as you want and start with several holes. you can always drill more but if you have too many, you have a mess!

Is CO2 really required for live plants if you have plenty of fish in the tank? If so, any good ideas to create CO2 other than an expensive tank system...Help!
