I have a 10 gallon tank with 5 neon tetras and one yo yo loach. All my levels seem fine, ph is high at about 8 but this has been pretty constant. He is acting normal. Noticed these cyst like bumps last night, no clue what they are. Here's a couple pics, please help!

Yea but apparently it has some hidden ingredient in it I guess. It foamed up pretty bad when shaken so I didn't risk it.

Yep I bought that API kit today along with a couple cabomba plants and black Tahitian sand, really wanted to start the fishless cycle tonight but I guess I can hold off another day.

Yes foamy and bubbly, but no mention on the label or the website of any other ingredients. And it is called "clear ammonia". The only that's stopped me from dosing my tank is the whole shake and see bubbles warning

Yea I guess that's what I'm gonna have to do, such a pain, seems like they would be legally obligated to list every ingredient, and BTW I did mean ammonia hydroxide and not "Monica hydroxide" as my iPhone corrected me in my initial post.

Ok I stopped by Walgreens just on a whim to check out their ammonia selection. It's called " clear ammonia" and its only listed ingredient is ammonia hydroxide, it says I'd does not contain phosphorous and does not mention silicant. Is this the real deal?

Ok so I just bought a bag of Carib sea black sand, an API master test kit, one small decoration, extra water conditioner, and two green cabomba plants. They didn't carry the ammonia, so I'm somewhere else looking for it. Wondering how I should proceed from here, with or without the ammonia.

Yep! I think I'm digging some type of dwarf rasboras, ember tetras perhaps, Norman lampeyes or similar killifish, and also white cloud minnows. And of course some red cherry shrimp possibly a suitable crab species and snails, definitely interested in little guys that help clean my tank for me. ;)

Yea angel I watched a video of some shell dwellers and really liked them, but my plan from the beginning was a more communal varied tank, so was little disappointed that the shell dwellers we're out of the running :(

Yea I think I came to the same conclusion. Is there any really difference between it and pet store sand besides probably being cheaper? Because I was kind of interested in a black sand or a dark tanned color sand and I'm thinking pool filter sands just come in the one color?
