i have algae gorwing on most of my plants and it started right before i added co2 and its growing hairlike dark green algae on my dwarf hairgrass...? how can i get rid of it i lowere my light from 12 hours to 11,,,,

i just got my hagen co2 kit finally and i removed the bio-wheel from my penguin 125....i was wondering if taking it out will affect the water conditions and if i should just switch to aquaclear.....? since id like to have bio filtration...and its for my 10 gallon any thing else i can do to help..?

i've been hearing that in planted tanks you should remove the bio-wheel why?? i have like 1 green hedge that is spread out and 2 grass like swords from walmart and one other one that has big leaves and some seeds that are sprouting should i remove the bio wheel..? im also purchasing a pc light...
