Im sorry, I have no experience with gold fish, but I really hope he gets better. My gourami picked on my hi fin shark till he had almost nothing left, but he made it, so I hope your little dwarf makes it through.

If it will fit in the rope fish' mouth, you might have a problem.

It's hard to tell, how old is it? Males usually form a "bump" on there forehead, and generally are larger than females.

Have you thought about doing a a school of fish for a center piece, or are you set on one good sized fish?

I've thought about that, I only change them that much cause its recommended to do so on the box, my filter is a penguin biowheel 200. So I figured with the biowheel my bacteria would be all good. Or its what I thought atleast.

I have a 20g, and the water just will not clear up. All test are in the clear, pwc twice a week, bi-weekly filter cartridge changes, ph 7.5. Temp 78f. It's been like this for 6 months. I've tried products, I've tried 75% wc, gravel vacuums, cleaned all decor, and removed stock. Please help???

But I don't consider it a main food source. It can't possibly be as good for them as let's say, an algae wafer, cause veggies are part of a wafer. Plus the other stuff that's in wafers that they need. So its more like a treat/supplement.

I know its pretty good for us, but for the fish I couldn't tell you ha. I usually have to try to drop it right infront of my pleco, or else my clown loaches claim it.

And I do think that it really has an effect on the fish, my sailfin pleco, in the last 7 months has gone from 2in to 9in.

I just do twice a week. Monday and Friday.

I feed my plecos zuccini, or cucumbers, but I boil it for a little bit first to soften it up. They seem to enjoy it.
