I've since added a jewel, a convict, a gr. terror, and another cichlid. The aggression has ceased and my levels are right on..

I've added five more cichlids and two crayfish. The aggression has ceased. There are a lot of different opinions out there. I've decided to go with overstocking to stop aggression. My readings are and have been right on.

Shark cats seem to be good with my Oscar and other cichlids.. They help clean the tank. I also have two crayfish that clean the bottom VERY well. I've had them three days and all is good aggression wise!!

Btw it's a 55 gal.

Stocking cichlids??? I'M confused with all the different opinions on stocking cichlids. I've got four small to med cichlids. Around three inches. I'd like to put more, but some say there's too many already. Others say to put more to quell aggression. Can I put more fish if I put another filter...

The Oscar holds his own, he aggresses the JD sometimes.. I've been looking at dwarf cichlids.. Some are very beautiful and are less aggressive as i understand.

I am following too. I just looked up Kribensis and it said it was an African but said nothing about brackish water. Does it require salt?

Well, just to update. The fh is still just chasing the others. They will hide and "BFH" will find and flush them out, but that's about it. No hits yet!!! I'll just watch em. The blood parrot hides most of the time. Comes out to eat and swims around once and awhile. Is this normal for a blood...

How about a Fluval Edge. The way it's set up it might work. The opening is raised, in the center of the top. Sloshing out may be minimal or none at all. Maybe worth a look into!!
