So 3 weeks ago i bought a bamboo shrimp. after 3 days in the tank he started coming out and actually filtering. he did that for about a week then now he is hiding and havent done anything. idk whats wrong with him :( can anyone tell me?

ok now that i see my bamboo shrimp becoming more active and less shy. do i need to spot feed him at all? or can he live just filtering the water?

Good News! today after the lights had been off i saw Pita (GF named my Bamboo Shrimp) on top of my plants and he was filtering! :D

ohh i was just making sure its the right species haha. not some look alike MTS =p

I hope so! i haven't seen much activity from him too much haha. also yeah they are safe with fish unless the fish is super slow and can be caught by the CPOs lol

yes i am excited! i did see him on my java fern. the fans are open but i don't think he is filtering anything. I'm trying to keep an eye on him

ah i didn't know u had a shrimp tank! the bamboo could of gone in there! haha. and CPOs should be okay with your big angel. I've seen people do it.

wow thats a great deal! I've seen CPOs get harassed by bettas. hopefully your angel fish wouldn't be aggressive towards them =p. or it could be the other way around. so keep an eye on that haha

ok so i got my bamboo shrimp yesterday. i picked the darkest one possible. and he is hiding so far... =/. how long will it take til i start seeing him actually out and filtering?

I have had my MTS for over 6 months now and i was told they get to an inch long. i have not seen one MTS at all in my tank that is 1inch long.. did i get a fake MTS or something?.. -.-

ohhh okay i gotcha. i will set it up tomorrow then! how long should i usually have lights? I'm thinking about rescaping though. I'm not too happy with my aquascape lol and okay i will do that. i might get it tomorrow :)

oh its fine. what do you mean by siesta period? active and most colored ones? like colored as in brown or red? cause I've seen red ones too haha.

ohhh i hope my bamboo does well! I'm afraid i can't skip water changes cause i get algae like crazy so ill just get him the day after i changed the water so he can have a whole week to adjust. I hope he does okay..

I've seen people do it but i personally wouldn't cause the angels might pick at them. if you want inverts that bad get CPOs :D

they are doing good! i have like 60 in my tank now but i haven't seen any saddled ones lately so i might test the water tonight. and i recently got my CPDs and a stiphodon goby. also i still have one otto alive so that must be a good sign :D
