Alright Got a test and turns out my alk, cal, and magneasium are wayyyy off the charts high! Aparently caribsea seapure wateris known for having high levels of these parameters

Thanks guys And i dont know it off hand Get my water tested monthly at a shop nearby. I only test ammonia nitrite nitrate at home But im assuming the alk would be fine becaise i do my water changes with good quality water bi weekly One fish in a 20g with biweekly waterchanges has worked fine...

No prob There may be different opinions, im just not a fan of bioballs but lots of people share my view

Well bioballs wont help with water clarity It basically does the same thing as live rock but not as good of a job I would put chemipure and live rock rubble in a media bag and place where the bioballs are Other than that id say you are in good shape

If its a reef my main sugestions would be getting a small skimmer and removing the bio balls, bioballs create high levels of nitrate and a skimmer removes tons of organic garbage

Do you use q biowheel in you canister filter or just biomax? Maybe the wheel has ti be exposed but biomax doesnt? I suppose ill just try it and see what happens
