    Unhealthy silver dollar?

OK thanks for the help I'll keep an eye on him and get a testing kit for the water.

    Unhealthy silver dollar?

Just looking now I'm noticing small speckles although they are more a shiny silver than white, I thought they were normal markings on a dollar.

    Unhealthy silver dollar?

I moved the tank about 2 weeks ago and haven't tested the water since the move but before that about six months with no problems. All other fish in the tank are fine and apart from the dorsal fin there aren't any other signs of illness. I wouldn't have bought a single dollar myself as i dont...

    Pleco help

I think they can be towards anything competing for food. I used to have three parrot cichlids which were huge but he pestered them during feeding time. He is very placid at any other time. Someone who keeps more than one would be better to ask I think. Here he is lounging on top of an ornament.

    Pleco help

Haha mine can get fairly flustered during feeding time too, he is by far the biggest in the tank so everyone including my four angels stay well out of his way when the food goes in.

    Pleco help

Although I'm not the most experienced they seem to want to blend into their surroundings so as long as he is eating normally I wouldn't worry.

    Pleco help

I have a common pleco which also does this, he always has done and seems to be healthy enough (judging by the fact he has grown considerably in the time I have had him). Although he is not a bristlenose.

    Unhealthy silver dollar?

I have one silver dollar in my 220l tank which up until recently was behaving and eating normally. Yesterday it spent the whole day "pacing" the tank quickly from one end to the other constantly and now it seems to be less active and not eating. I have four angel fish and it seems to have a...

    Best fish? Change fish?

OK thanks for the advice. Ill look into stocking with compatible species. My bala is probably already about eight inches and I'm told by the previous owner it is quite an old fish and seems pretty peaceful anyway. Cheers.

    Best fish? Change fish?

Hope that pic worked, an old one (the parrots are gone) but it's probably about 10-12 inches long. I was thinking of getting rid of all but the three mentioned. The neons seemed to be eaten overnight so is it possible the catfish was the culprit?

    Best fish? Change fish?

Hi all, I'm new to this so bear with me. I inherited a community of large fish along with my 220l tank about 12 months ago. I have a pleco, silver dollar, 4 angel fish, a clown loach, a catfish (possibly a talking catfish) & a bala shark. I did have 3 parrot cichlids and a central American...
