    Help identify my pleco.

Thanks. I have only had these plecos for under 24 hours and they have already contributed significantly to the amount of waste (poop). Besides that they look pretty cool. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

Ok ok, but it is reserved to be the replacement tank for my Tanganyica tank (7 Mpimwe fronts, 6 Calvus. Main characters in my 150). We will be moving around summer time. I would set up "Maximus tankus" in permanent spot get it established and make move stress free for all of us. But your right...

    Help identify my pleco.

I hope your right about the size. But it also says they loose their spots, don't want that. I don't think it's a galaxy. Mines does not have long snout and its top fin isn't that large. Hope he ends up being a snowflake.

Bribo so what do you think it is? The 3 ft size is noted in a couple sites. They do loose their spots though, right?

    Help identify my pleco.

I hope it is a snowball and not an Adonis pleco. Snowball only get 6 inches an Adonis gets 3 feet. BIG DIFFERENCE. I do have one 8 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot siting dry in garage. But don't think that would be adequate for an Adonis. Plus I like him at his current size and with spots. If he starts...

    Help identify my pleco.

It doesn't have the characteristics of a bristlenose or vampire. It is very black with white spots. He is about 3.5 inches and I acquired him about a year ago he lives with my breeding colony of Pundemilla nyererie ruti island.

I know he is not a cichlid, but our group is so smart. He/she is shy of 3 inches. Black with white spots, his tail fin is pointy at the tips. So what do you all think he is? Mods hope it's ok to post this here if not let me know where you move it. Thanks everyone.

You should explain to her why Andie. Don't most test have +/- margin of error? So if that's the case with nitrates, she should be ok.

    Id this spider.

It's an itsy bitsy spider trying to climb up the spider web. But don't worry down will come the rain and wash the spider away. Just be careful if the sun comes up and dries up all the rain.

    Help with DIY droftwood

I just don't like my water all dark. It's why we spend hundreds on filtration and regular PWC to keep our tanks sparkling clear. Unless your creating an authentic biotope.

    Help with DIY droftwood

Doesn't bleach start to dissipate easily? I have never had an issue with rinsing off the bleach. It whitens them a bit at first. But the dark color returns to the wood. It does also help with expediting the tannin release. Here is a piece I am working on now.

    Help with DIY droftwood

Nice piece by the way. I see your already weighing it down. The more you rinse and change the water the faster you'll get rid of the tannins. If it does t seem to get better than it might not be right for your aquarium.

    Help with DIY droftwood

Done this a couple times. I change the water every time it changes color. Those are the woods tannins being released. Once a week is not enough. You should also have something already weighing it down. It will help with it getting completely saturated. Your should also power wash it or scrub it...

My last pair of JDs bred at 2.5" to 3" range. They were about 4 month old. First three batches they ate them. But bred consistently every 6 weeks.
