I posted a few days ago about my Emperor not eating, and today i wake up to find her on the bottom of the tank...arg. Last night when i got home from work, I noticed there was something wrong with her bottom jaw..it almost looked like it was rotting away..and the flesh looked kind of ripped...

Only in a 75 Gallon atm, going to upgrade to around a 200 when the time comes..all of my fish are going to get some size to them. Lion, hippo, chief scorpion, and the angel. Like i said i wanted to get him eating good quality sponge foods, but he didnt even seem interested in the Angel Formula...

Picked up a 5 inch or so Emperor Angel from the LFS yesterday, beautiful specimen..between his pattern stages. Seems alert and healthy, ate good at the store while i had him on hold...that was brime shrimp though. I tried feeding him a cube of Angel Formula earlier...but he didnt want anything...

Given that i do not have any pre mixed up supply of water, what is the easiest way to go about doing a 10 gallon or so change on a 75 gallon tank. I keep my salinity at about 1.024, and temp about 78 in my tank. How do i match this with the water I am putting in, and whats the easiest process...

Is there anything special i should consider in the care of this Scorpion? I cant find much information about him in books or on the net, so im kind of in the darkness about him. The employee said to treat him in the same was basically as an Angler...and that his venom could send you into...

Got my new Chief Scorpion last night, and attempted to feed it today. I went to the LFS and bought a dozen ghost shrimp/guppies seeing that it might entice it to eat the most...well i also had a very hungry Lion in the tank, so he basically ate everything before the Scorpionfish had a chance to...

Also, when i am removing and cleaning a filter element..is it best to just wash it out with tap water? Or is there some special method i should be concerned about? Just turn off the filter, remove elements..wash out...replace? Filter has only been running for about 4 weeks, elements are not...

I go twice a week to the LFS to get my water tested, all the perimeters are perfect at this point. The filter, im not sure on the exact name, its the one with Bio Wheels...maybe something 400. Both fish have done excellent thus far.
