You need to do a 50% water change to get the levels lower. Make sure you dose your ammonia back up to 4ppm after the water change and use your Prime dechlorinator.

Visit your mom and pop lfs and get an idea of what is really out there. It almost seems your stock was designed by Petco. I was in your shoes a year ago when I bought my 29g Aqueon kit and asked for suggestions for fish.

One thing all my lfs have in common, even the most respected ones, want you to fish-in cycle.
