In the poster's defense, I've seen African Bumblebee Catfish mentioned on planetcatfish.com (Microsynodontis batesii • Mochokidae • Cat-eLog), though previously had only read about Asian and South African. I have 3 of the South American and love these fish!! Either way, let us know what happens!

They are great little fish! I liked the look of them online, but couldn't find any locally. Ended up ordering 6 online, paid a fortune in shipping, but love the little buggers :) Good luck with yours, however you do it - they are fun. They are also small enough that they won't have too much...

yes... partial water changes treated tank with antibiotics and melafix (had kanamycin on hand, removed charcoal from filter) Cut back on feeding by 50% Was in the process of getting some salt to add, but was too late :(
