What I have been doing with my Python is I have the water bed adapter in my sewage drain (make sure you have the bottom drain connector open) and I suck on the end that goes to the sink. Doesn't take much to get the water flowing. That way I don't have my mouth on something that had fish water...
I will have to check the tap tonight. I tested it awhile ago and had no issues but I know things change. When I did a large wc last night it lowered my nitrite so I assume tap is fine.
The newest update is my nitrite was back to zero this morning. I was going to skip a feeding but decided to...
I am using pool filter sand.
My ammonia was normal when I tested a few days ago and today. What is interesting is two days ago before I did a few huge wc to lower my nitrates I had maybe .25 or .5 nitrites so assumed that my nitrates were to high slowing the conversion process.
But two days...
I have a fully planted tank that has been running for a few months with no issues. Recently I had my first fish die and tested the water and had a small amount of nitrite and what looks like over 80 nitrates.
I do weekly water changes but have been fertilizing and one of the elements is...
I personally dose separate. Have two different dosing bottles with the day schedule on each so I can remember.

I believe I read on TPT that the price will be similar to the planted+ but I agree looks interesting depending on price.

It is a water pressure issue I think. When I hook it to a sink it is in a sink in my basement and my tank is on the first floor. I have about 50 psi at my sink not sure what others have.
I am sure the 50 foot line doesn't help much.

Hard to tell but looks like a pretty small tank for a pirana.

Interesting sounds like they send of runners in search of food. If they are content they just over grow my tank instead!

I might have to split at the base my one large remaining sword. Maybe I need to start ignoring it to see if it gives me runners.

I have a few swords that just got to big and I had to remove all but one of them. They are growing extremely tall but I haven't seen them send out shoots so I could replace the large one with smaller ones. Any secret to this?

I use a calculator called "zorfox planted tank calculator" you should be able to google it. It will give you dry dosing and diy dosing.

I wonder if you need to work your way up to once a week. For example dose both 3x a week then 2x etc so the fish get use to it.
