ok...I just fed them and noticed that I tend to give more pellets than I thought 8O ...also I forgot to mention that I have a pleco and he gets an algae wafer but I think he eats it all. As far as pictures go here are some. Some of them aren't that clear though. Let me know what you think...

I feed twice a day. Mostly some shrimp pellets and flakes. I feed about 6 pellets and about 3/4 of those little rubber tiped baby spoons. What do you thnk?

I'm sorry, I didn't notice the second page. I use the Ap FW Master Test Kit. I try to test at least weekly. I guess I must be over feeding unless I'm screwing up the test. Either way I'll do a pwc today.

I do them weekly at about 50% is this enough or should i change less % more often

oh I forgot to ask, should I vacume the gravel everytime or like every week? I know its a dumb question but rather be sure. :roll:

Really :!: I was curious about that. I was always afraid that I might do some damage if I did it too often. As far as feeding, I feed them twice a day and just enough so theres nothing left after 2-4 min. Is there some other measurement I could use? I'm actually looking foward to doing a water...

I did a pwc yesterday due to my nitrate being a high. I checked again today and it looks like its about 40ppm. is this ok or should I do another pwc. if so how soon can I do it? eveything else seems normal.

btw i just got my firts 50' python and will never go back. its a life (and back) saver. :lol:

on most home faucets the aerator will come off so you can hook up the python. sometimes the faucet will have a male connection and you might need another adapter (my python didn't come with that one) that you can find at any home depot. hth

i feel the same way. when i clean it, it's the only time i get to "interact" with the tenants. i take over the living room (buckets hoses and all). my wife is pretty much used to it by now. :wink: as far as just sitting and watching, i could do that for hours. 8)

wow, this could get complicated. is it possible to move the 2 i have now to another tank and add about 4 smaller ones to the 55 gallon then add the first two back later? whats the limit for angels in a 55 gallon? i really appreciate the help, the people at the lfs don't seem to know what...

Oh well :| I was afraid of that. They are about 2-3 inches right now so I guess I'm out luck. They are my pride and joy (since they are the only ones that follow me around the room) and I wanted to get them some friends. Thanks for the advice before I repeated that same mistake :fadein:

Well I want to add some more angels to my setup. Last time I tried adding in 2 more, my other 2 angels that I have seem to have gotton a little mad and started picking on them. Needless to say I took them back to the lfs. I there a way to doing this that I don't know about? I would really like...

Oh, just some advice from someone who doesn't know much either, don't rush in and get fish just because they look interesting. I made that mistake and now I wish I would have taken time to have done some research. Just ask here, people here know whats up.

well no I dont have a test kit but I'll get one. on the cat, I dont see any scales raised and no odd behavior. still swims near the bottom, no noticeable spots. the tank has been set up for about 2 months. but maybe this is the culprit, I was out of town and didnt get back 'till last night...
