    Almonds?

Thanks. EDIT: Also breeding Harlequins is NOT the main reason I'm doing this. I also prefer the blackwater look. So would this be safe for fish?

Depends on your fish. What fish do you have in there?

    Almonds?

Yesterday I was thinking: If people put almond leaves in their tank to lower PH and get blackwater, why can't they put almonds? So I got a cup of water, put 10-20 almonds in it and left it overnight. Today, the water is completely tanned with a PH of 6.2 (was 7.5 yesterday). So I guess my...

    new 30g suggestions

A planted Dwarf Puffer tank! They're 100% freshwater and require 2-3 gallons per fish. You can probably keep 10-15 of them in there! They do require it to be a species only tank however, and the only other fish they 'allow' is the Otocinclus Catfish.

    My new "themed" tank inhabitants

Great Betta! Sorry for being the bearer of bad news but the tank would be overstocked with ALL of those fish. It would do OK (provided you did 50% water changes weekly) with either of the following plans: Plan A: 1 Betta 5 Harlequins 1 Snail Plan B: 1 Betta 2 Otos 1 Snail Plan C: 1 Betta 3...

    Betta in 10G

If thats a 10 Gallon tank, you're WAY overstocked! I'd get rid of that Pleco and Mollies. A pleco can get over 18". However, if you have a dwarf pleco (Clown Pleco, Rubbernose Pleco, Bristlenose Pleco) and are doing religious weekly 50% water changes, then good luck with your tank.

    Blind Cave Tetra

They're ALWAYS at my LFS (Big Al's). Maybe you should call your LFS(s) and ask them when they'll have them in stock.

Red Claw crab - it's eating the fish!

Wow. You have 2 Angels, 1 Betta, 2 Guppies and one crab in an 8 gallon tank?!? Thats crazy, and I'm sorry to say, but you'll definately have problems in the future if you don't upgrade. Angels need a 20 Gallon High atleast! HTH

    Golden Pencilfish

Alright. Since the ghost is only 4" right now, I've decided to get 8-9 Pencilfish and when he's big enough, then I guess its live food.. The Pencilfish are on sale at my LFS for only 3/1.99 so I guess its worth it even if he eats them. Btw, I don't have Angelfish. I was just wondering. Thanks.

    Golden Pencilfish

Simple question: Would/Could a Black Ghost Knife or Angelfish eat them? Their max size is only 2-2.5"

Plentiful Pictures of Pearling Plants [*Bandwidth Warning*]

Nope, those bubbles indicate a huge water change, uncycled tank or loss of bacteria.

    Neon tetras & Glolight Tetras

No, definately not. They're 2 different species. Even Cardinals and Neons won't school together and they look almsot identical!

I have a proven pair in my 10 gallon tank. They have really grown to their surroundings! LOL just kidding.

    Bristlenose Pleco

Aww man that really sucks. I already know the cause: Direct Sunlight. I'll be moving the tank to a different spot in a few days. I also added DIY Yeast Co2 yesterday and its bubbling today. PH is also stable. I guess the main question is, would a blackout help? If so, how much? What else can I...

I have a brush algae problem in a 20 Gallon long and a 55 gallon tank. I was wondering if Bristlenose Plecos would eat this kind of algae. Thanks!

    Congos or Tigers?

Well from my experience of having Congos with Kribs, its going pretty well. I have a 55 gallon tank with 4 Congos and 2 Kribs and many other fish. I am planning on adding 2 more Congos. Also, to really enjoy this fish, you should have high light, because they don't show great colours unless...

    About loaches

You should get atleast 3 if you want to see them regularily. One would be really shy and scared. 3 kuhlis in a 29 gallon wont hurt your tank. In a 29 gallon you could probably fit 8-10 kuhlis (not considering other fish ofcourse). Also, if you get Kuhlis, don't forget to quarantine for atleast...

    About loaches

Kuhli loaches most definately eat snails. They suck the snails right out of the shells like noodles. Pretty interesting if you ask me.
