10g quarantine tank with stocking?

Ya no kidding, I found a 200 gallon with a 90 gallon sump for $200.00 and she said no! "We don't have the space"

We are on tank five in a seven week period.



What we did for a fry tank in a pinch is clean out an empty cat litter container really well (the kind you buy full of clean cat litter) and add a small filter made for a 5g tank and filled it up with water from the bigger tank. The filter is not really strong enough to suck the fish up but they were also two weeks old when we did this, we have danio fry so they don't mind coolish water and the room is usually pretty warm. These fish didn't get the benefit of a cycled tank but they're growing much faster I'm there and the next batch will have the cycled filter.

As for the qt/hospital ours is a completely bare 10g with some plastic plants we can toss in if needed for shy fish or fry.
