15 gal hi with eclips hood

I am starting a new 15 gal saltwater aquarium. so far i have put sand and the water. I have also put in a dead shrimp to get the water right. i am useing an eclips hood for a 10 gal aquarium on my 15 gal high aquarium. my question is what do i do now?

Wait and test for ammonia and nitrite. When both have risen and the fallen back to zero the cycle is complete and you can add a fis, or some LR.

how much live rock should i use

i have a fifteen gallon aquarium and im not sure how many pounds of rock i should use. what is a good estimate. should i put one pound per gallon, 2 pounds per gallon. i would like to fill most of it up in a slanting motion to the near top.

Well it depends, I'd start with 1-1.5 lbs per gallon and then if it needs more to be where you want it...add a little at a time.
