That's great news! Well be needing a picture update. lol

If you're seeing that much plant growth then the screen probably isn't enough of a problem to worry about. I used a light over my 5.5 planted tank that was so bright I needed to use "three" layers of window screen to lower the amount of light getting into my tank... just to stop it from burning my anubias nana! It was grey window screen. I don't believe it blocks as much light as black screen so that's probably why it needed three layers. I ended up changing it to a Finnex FugeRay and it works so much better. It's actually starting to grow HC and glossostigma at the bottom (slowly).

I just got a timer for the light also.

I read somewhere that microsword is a super slow grower

My gma took her tank down,and her betta had no place to go so i took ot home. It ended up eating all the rcs, but she has colored up nicely.
