1. My scarlet temple is dying, not all if it but some of the plants are. I was told (my fault for listening) that it didn't need any special treatment. I just started to fertilize my tank with Flourish, will this help? Or do I need root tabs?
2. Java fern propagation. I noticed black root like structures on the back of the leaves. Do I just cut this part off and replant it? Is it that simple?
Tank is
20 gallons
Substrate is gravel with play sand on top (this is my first time using play sand)
No fish just some baby mystery snails
Temp 72f (22c)
Ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 10ppm
Lights are on 8-10 hours a day
No algae in the tank
