20 Gallon Tank Suggestions

In addition to my 5 & 75 gallon tank, I just inherited a 20 gallon tank. After it is cycled, I plan on putting in 6 Threadfin Rainbows, 5 Otos, and a pair of gold rams. Is that a good combination of fish for a 20 gallon?

Well a pair of rams need at least 10g and a small shoal of threadfin rainbowfish (4 or 5) need minimum 20g. 1 oto needs 10g. With very good and efficient filtration I would say you could have 5 threadfin rainbowfish, 2 otos and 2 gold rams, but that would be pushing it.

I'll have to agree with blucat. 3-4 Rainbows, 2-3 Otos, and 2 rams max for the 20 gal.
