Hi guys,

I'm new to the freshwater thing. Just set up this 3-1/2 Gal tank. I have a 100 gal reef, a 45 gal cube reef and 2 Dart Frog tanks. I had an extra nano so I thought I'd dive into the freshwater pond. I don't really know what I'm doing but here's my first effort. I'd appreciate any comments on what I did wrong or right. Thanks.

The tank looks lovely, you did a solid job on the scape.

Shrimp are perfect.

Neon and Glowlight Tetras are better for a larger tank, like a 10G.

There are however a few nano fish which would be a better choice if you really want to have some fish.

Hara Jerdoni aka (Mini) Moth or Anchor Catfish
Chili Rasbora - Boraras Brigittae
Least or Spotted Boraras - Boraras Micros
Exclamation Point - Boraras Uropthalmoides
Phoenix Rasbora - Boraras Merah

Thai Micro Crab

Annual Killifish Bluefin Notho - Nothobranhius rachovii "Beira 98" 1M/2F

Maybe some other Killi.

Or other choices
3G shrimp breeding tank, smaller snails no fish
Betta - there are other types too, like Coccina - no shrimp or adults, knowing young may be eaten
