That is a reasonable calculator for substrate. 3" is a nice depth imo.

That calculator is really accurate. I think I used 5 bags (100lbs in my 55 when I switched to Eco).
I don't think AquariumPlants has free shipping now, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Thanks guys! I used the calculator and ordered 5 bags from drsfostersmith.com. The Eco-Complete was like 21.99 each but the shipping was really cheap, like 13 bucks compared to 40-60 for alot of other places I checked! A few more weeks and hopefully I'll have all the equipment I need to set my tank up
