As you can see (hopefully) in the picture, my 60 gallon cichlid tank always looks kinda warm on the color scale. I'd like to bring it down to more of a blue but im not sure how to do this. Is the light reflecting the green of the plastic plants? Do I need to change to an LED light?

Also would appreciate some constructive criticism and ideas of how YOU would decorate my tank. Thanks - Joe

Sounds like you are running lights with bulbs?

This link might help:

The lower the "K", the more yellow, then red the light appears, such as a 4500 K bulb.

The higher the "K", the bluer the light appears, such as a 20,000 K bulb.

Sometimes just running a blue light at front of tank will "hide" the more reddish lights at back.

Just watch for algae if you change lights. Here I try and change lighting gradually just in case.
