Hey guys - feeling a bit gloom at the moment.

What sort of South American cichlids would fit into a 90? I just feel limited.

Right now all that's in it is:
2 pictus (don't want them again hence having only two)
1 featherfin synodontis

Some boesemanis and some diamond Tetras.

I've just about had it with smaller fish, that's the problem. I've done tetras, barbs, etc more times than I care to count. I'm also done with angelfish, been there done that. I have two aquaclear 110s and a fluval FX6 running on it at the moment.

Discus aren't an option as I don't want to get rid of my featherfin and they like the water boiling hot.

In a twist I don't want to really consider, would it be worth it to even upgrade to a 120? It's only thirty gallons, it doesn't feel like its worth the cost.

Thanks

Geophagus, gymnogeoohagus, angelfish (you could try some out there stuff like the phillipean Blues or wild scalares/Altums), acaras, fire mouths. I like green terrors too but I'd say they need their own 90 to the self.
