Looks like a cool tank!!! The only thing that worries me is that one 2x4 that is gonna be holding up ALOT of weight.

I you have a good point ill try to put another one on each side

Thanks

Does anyone have any idea on lights skimmers and power heads

I'm thinking about an mp40 and a reef octopus skimmer what do you all think

I built a stand for my small 5gallon sump ill have to post pics to show you what I mean

But it's really cool :)

This is it I like it so far

I like your tank. Careful with that drilled hole. Looks like it's spidering around the edges and is oblong. Hard to tell from the pic though.

As far as a skimmer, Reef Octo is a good way to go. If you are going in-sump, you may end up having to build a platform to get the skimmer set at the right water height. The inner walls that you siliconed into the 20 sump are on the high side. Lighting is tough because of the dimensions of a corner tank. If you are going reef, I like metal halide (400 watt with supplemental actinics). Many people are into LED's. I'm not completely sold on their ability to "grow" corals over time and getting the color/temps can be tricky. Appealing to the eye doesn't translate to coral growth here.

What are your plans with the tank?

Well I'm going reef as of right now I want rare corals only and only schooling fish in this tank.

With one amazing fish, I have yet to find it yet.
I also want to go with LEDs I think I'm getting 2 120 w dimmable lights skimmer I'm getting this off creagslist for 150
