Aquarium Advice Newbie
Hello to everyone! I'm a student doubling in ecology and evolutionary biology and geophysics (for a grad program in paleontology) at UChicago, and I am extremely interested in aquariums. In the past, I have had a nano reef aquarium and a 20 gallon land/water fish and frog habitat, among several others. I currently have a well-established 16 gallon Southeast Asian aquarium and am in the process of setting up a 55 gallon. I haven't decided on the theme for the latter. I'm very interested in biotope tanks, and my project lately has been trying to put together a "paleo tank" to replicate an ancient environment (probably the ancient lakes of the Green River Formation). This last idea is the one with which I will need the most help, as I know the groups I need but not the species that are commercially available. Thanks, and I look forward to using this forum!
