ive noticed that when i read about a certain type of fish, that their breeding habits have not been documented. so im guessing that they just plucked the fish right out of its natural habitat in the wild?? ive read that panda corys and hatchet fishes breeding habits are not known, just to name a couple.

Panda coeys are regularly bred in captivity, even in home tanks, so I am not sure why you would think that....as far as hatchets go, that is correct....I believe that captive breeding has happened once or twice, but it is not something that was reproducable.

I have bred panda corys with no problem in the home tank....read, read and read some more !! I'm not trying to scold, but in this hobby information overload is a must.
