Why do I see a lot of people adding ammonia to their tank? Is it because they're doing a fishless cycle? I have a few fish in my tank thats cycling now do I have to worry about adding ammonia? Thanks

It's more than likely for fish-less cycling .... or they're trying to kill off their stock... I would hope it's for the former.

Yup, for fishless cycling.

And, by the way, do NOT add ammonia if you already have fish. Their little digestive systems add it for you!

Yes, that's one of the techniques for doing a fishless cycle. As stated, you absolutely do not want to add ammonia if you have fish in the tank, as it can damage or kill them.
