africans in a 40 gallon

the guy at the lfs told me that africans would be okay in my tank, and i got the same anwer from about 5 store owners. they all reccomended the same fish, and setup.
i bought the fish, and made the setup like they said.
currently my stock is:
1 yellow lab
1 red zebra
1 kenyi
1 acei
1 midnight peacock
i now realize that the acei needs a 75 gallon tank.
i have alot of stacked rock, and a few flower pots. the aggression level in my tank atm is low, and i do daily water changes to keep my tank crystal clear.
I was wanting some feedback.
i heard that i could do this set up online, but i was wanting some professional feedback.
this post was more descriptive but the AA app crashed on me, and i didnt feel like saying it all again.

The yellow lab and zebra would be alright in a 40 but the rest just get too big im sorry
