Hey everyone! I just put my new pygmy flame angel fish and my lawnmower blennie into my DT from my QT yesterday (photos coming soon)...the only problem is my yellow tang seems to be chasing the angel from time to time. The angel is very small, guessing a juvenile, and I was wondering if that had anything to do with the behavior. It does not happen all of the time, just every now and then for some reason when the tang does not like where the angel is at. I did not read anything about the tang being aggressive towards the angel, in fact I thought I may be the other way around. Just wondered if anyone had any input on this situation.

They are just establishing a pecking order. Things should calm down in a day or two.

Great, good to know I was worried that they would continue this for a while.

Sounds like normal tang behavior to me. Just keep and eye out for visable injuries on your angel. Things should settle down after a few days.

When I first got my regal tang, my lemon peel angel used to chase him all over and go out of his way to find him if he couldn't see the tang, now they're the best of friends :)

Where are the pics you promised?;)

Pics are up in the new acquisition forum, and they FYI everyone is getting along fine now!

My Yellow Tang is an aggressive little bugger and his behavior is really starting to make me angry. He constantly was harrassing my Sunset Wrasse. I'd like to put a Clown Trigger in their and see if he picks on him haha. :p

I thought my yellow was very agressive too. Actually got rid of one once. He picked on a starfish also. Got another a few years later and he was OK. Of course he was the last added. Put a yellow in early and adding others later is not the best thing IMO. Especially if more tangs or angels - those with similar body shapes are introduced after he's established his home turf.
