Algae on the glass top

Is there any special way to clean this? I would prefer not to use chemicals.. would the magnet tank scraper work? (just the scrapper part... not the magnet thing)

depends on if its hard algae of soft. if soft id just use a paper towel. if hard i dont know

would a scrub brush (sponge) and water work? or is it sorta caked on there? That is what I use, just a brush.

I bought a scrub brush from my lfs with a long handle on it... to get to the hard to reach places... works great...
