Algae Wafers

Last night i got 2 Nerite Snails because my 20G had alot of Brown Algae (Diatoms). Well they managed to clean up all the Algae in one night, so today after work i went to buy some Hikari Algae Wafers and i droped half of one.

My question is my 8 Zebra Danios seem to be pecking on the Algae Wafer.
Is it okay if they eat it? is it dangerous to them?

Nothing wrong with fish eating the wafers. I used to drop them for my plecos and the angels used to pick at them all the time. I also give them to my Africans and they go crazy over it.
