American Flag fish question

Ok so i recently got an american flag fish. Pretty cool little bugger, kinda zippy! when i got him at the pet store he wasn't very, how can i say this, Flag-y he's more of an olive greenish color, with blue dots. When will he change colors to reddish?

Over time he'll get a red, white, and blueish color. That's how they got their name.
