I got a green long tip anemone 2 days ago. Yesterday it was large and healthy. Today it's deflated and the a little larger than a quarter when it's usually 4 or 5". The tank is 6 months old and 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 2 ppm nitrate. Any ideas?

I think 6 months is to early. But do you have any other invertebrates in your tank?

looks like some algae on the sand what is the PO4 levels? What lights do you have? Size tank? can you tell us more about the tank

Anemones require an established tank of at least 6-8 months so I added at the bare minimum time. Just tested the phosphate levels and it's at .25 ppm. I use RO/DI water, but the system broke so I had to use RO water for a month. The algae seems to be dying off, but I thinly that was the source of it. Lights are 60" 6 T5 HO lights on a 70 gallon. I know anemones like a lot of light, but these long tips like moderate and a flat surface (sand). It's getting larger now, but not as much as it should be.

I've been told by plenty people to shy away from long tip nems... Very hard to get to stay alive.
