angelfish and discus

Are angelfish and discus compatible? And what are guidlines on taking care of discus because I read that they are very fragile and I don't want kill them because they are expensive to replace and I want them to have a happy home so if you guys can give advice and what the water quality should be like that would be much appreciated

I see pix of the two online all the time. I have been told that discus can contract disease from angels. If it were me, I would do one or the other and go from there. Angels would be easier to be sure.
